Painted Candelabra
by Annie Sloan
The purple of this candelabra contrasts with the green of the garden, giving a pop of colour to Annie’s outside space.
This candelabra was a little run down so required a wipe ahead of painting to remove any lumps or bumps. Annie then painted using a custom mix of Chalk Paint™ in Aubusson Blue and Emperor’s Silk alongside Greek Blue as her accent shade. If you’re not confident with colour mixing, use Chalk Paint™ in Rodmell for a very similar purple. She then used the Aubusson Blue and Emperor’s Silk mix with varying amounts of Old White for a spectrum of purples to paint on the arms. Using a Chalk Paint™ Brush will aid with the application around the tricky arms of the candelabra.
Seal with Chalk Paint™ Lacquer in your choice of Matt or Gloss finishes for longevity, UV protection, and water resistance.
