This bureau was gilded with Silver Leaf to give it the look of a prized Art Deco piece.

The Art Deco shape of this bureau inspired Annie to gild it with Aluminium Transfer Leaf, otherwise known as Silver Imitation. The leaf was applied with Gold Size. straight over the wood. A final coat of Clear and Dark Wax protects the finish and gives it an authentic antiqued silver look.
