The aim of this workshop is to make you feel at home using techniques that complement your existing knowledge to create striking decorative effects for your projects. We work on wooden boards, creating a Modern look.

Themes covered:

• A cool two tone ombre paint application, a more textured finish and a cracked paint look which forms a base for your work.

• Master a simple way to achieve a textured paint finish.

• Image transfer methods. This is a more subtle method of achieving a convincing painted image look without even lifting a paint laden brush!

• Some effective use of stencils. Annie included this technique to become aware of the quick and easy tool you have at hand to develop quite intricate patterns with paint in a super innovative way.

• To finish, a demonstration of an ageing technique to add that final touch.
