ANNIE SLOAN BASIC & INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP 🖌️- Wednesday 13th December 2023, 10am – 1pm

This workshop is ideal for anyone who would like to know basic and intermediate techniques and skills in using Annie’s Chalk Paint and Waxes.

On the 3 hour course, we will firstly talk to you about the environmental benefits of painting furniture and then discuss how preparation and inspiration is key to creating the perfect finished painted piece. Next, we will experiment on a sample board with paint layering, brush techniques, colour combinations, texture, stencilling, and frottage. We will then complete the boards by distressing with different grade sandpapers and then seal the paint with clear wax and use dark brown, black and white wax, to create lovely aged patinas and to enhance textures.
By the end of the class, you will go away with the knowledge and confidence to start your own painted piece at home, as well as understanding how up-cycling is great for a more sustainable world.
