Welcome fellow painters, artist, crafters, experts, beginners, young, old(er), and all those whom don’t know the amazing world of paint….yet! Peinture is reintroducing Annie Sloan chalk paint, wall paint, brushes, finishes, books, transfers, decoupage papers, and so much more to Castle Rock Colorado. We will also have a fun selection of Redesign with Prima products including both Annie Sloan and Kacha designs. We are located in the middle of The Emporium, a fantastic merchant mall, featuring local artists and craftsmen, right next to the Police station, in beautiful downtown Castle Rock.
Peinture means paint in French. I named us that because I loved both paint in all its many forms and I loved the French look in furniture, rooms, and its countryside. During 2020 and the years that followed my family, friends, and I experienced a lot of sickness and death. It was definitely a hard and sad period of time. I had this lovely friend who would occasionally ask me, from one artist to another, what I was into or creating lately. I would then often reply kindly, not much at the time. But I would think inside my head, wow I am just trying to survive here and maintain a decent attitude. Then I remembered how healing art can be whether its sketching, painting, reading, writing, singing, dancing, and so on. And I knew it was time to start painting again. I also really believe that art can bring people together in a fantastic way for fun, for healing, for relaxation, and for education. So, when I say that Peinture specializes in paint and bringing people together, I really really mean it! I look forward to helping people find their perfect paint color, create their piece of art, and redo some furniture. I also can’t wait to teach some classes on technique and to highlight many of the Annie Sloan products. Let’s paint!
