Bring along your own small piece of furniture and we will teach you how to hand paint your project with our expert advice and knowledge we are sure you will finish the day with a piece you are proud to place back in your home.

The workshop will include the following:

– An introduction to the tools and products.

– How to prepare your project before painting.

– Demonstrations and examples of various painting techniques, everything from a smooth modern finish to decorative finishes like frottage and everything in between.
– Expert advice when selecting your colours or mix your own unique colour.
– One to One hands-on help and support when transforming your project.

– Add additional decorative finishes to your project including a stencil design, decoupage, gilding wax, traditional gilding leaf, craqueleur and pearlescent glaze.

– How to wax your project from a selection of 4 coloured waxes.

– Information on how to care for your painted furniture at home

All materials are provided on the day including your very own Annie Sloan Workbook which will come in handy when planning your project on the day.

Lunch will be provided along with hot and cold drinks.

Please note that the item of furniture should be in good solid condition, items that need to be repaired must be done prior to the workshop.

The furniture item should be the equivalent size of a bedside cabinet, lamp table or a wooden chair. We would love you to have a completed item to take home so please ensure that it’s something you can complete within the timescale provided. If you are unsure get in touch and we will be more than happy to offer our advice.

This workshop does not include upholstery.

This workshop is designed for beginners or participants with some experience.

The workshop will last approximately 6.5 hours held at:

Falkland Community Hall, Back Wynd, Falkland, Fife KY15 7BX

Main free Fife Council car park is located on Back Wynd, Falkland, KY15 7BX. This car park is the same location as the workshop venue.

Maximum of 6 workshop participants in each workshop.

During the workshop face masks must be worn at all times unless medically exempt in line with current guidlines. This maybe subject to change.  If the workshop needs to be cancelled by us at Love Restored due to changing Scottish Government Covid Guidelines, then we would look to secure your space for any future workshops when permitted or offer a refund or gift voucher in its place.

Non Covid Restrictions Cancellation Policy: Can’t make the workshop? Don’t worry, all bookings can be moved to the next available workshop or refunded if 7 days notice from the date of the proposed workshop is given in writing or by telephone.  Workshops can only be moved once and if the cancellation policy is not applied the workshop booking payment is non-returnable.
