Introducing our 2026 Woodland Christmas Colours
Our Christmas palette features eight Chalk Paint™ colours inspired by the beauty of the natural world.

Christmas is one of the best times of year to get creative. There’s something wonderful about making your own decorations, gathering greenery and bringing a little magic into your home through colour. This year, we’ve taken inspiration from the woodland, the joy of foraging and the simple, playful beauty of folk art to create our Woodland Christmas.

A palette inspired by nature
For our Woodland Christmas, we’ve chosen six main Chalk Paint™ colours, with two beautiful greens as accents. Together, they create a palette that feels rich, warm and joyful, combining earthy, traditional Christmas tones with unexpected touches of blue and orange.
Burgundy
Burgundy brings depth and richness to the palette. It’s a wonderful colour for Christmas decorations, adding warmth and a sense of tradition. Use it for painted birds, stocking details or to create a bold contrast with the greens.
Aubusson Blue
Aubusson Blue is a beautiful, deep blue-green inspired by traditional European textiles. I love how it sits alongside the warmer colours in this palette, bringing a slightly unexpected note to Christmas. It works beautifully with Burgundy and Old Ochre.
Sandalwood Red
Sandalwood Red is a warm, earthy red that feels just right for a woodland-inspired Christmas. It has a softer, more natural quality than a bright festive red, making it lovely for folk-art motifs, tree decorations and handmade gifts.
Barcelona Orange
Barcelona Orange brings a burst of warmth and sunshine to the palette. Inspired by the rich colours of Mediterranean architecture, it adds an exuberant, playful touch to the more traditional reds and greens. A little goes a long way, making it perfect for painted details and decorative patterns.
Louis Blue
Louis Blue is a soft, pale blue with a gentle, powdery quality. It offers a lovely contrast to the deeper colours in the palette and helps give the whole scheme a light, playful feel. Try it on bird shapes, napkin rings or delicate details on your Christmas table.
Old Ochre
Old Ochre is a warm, muted yellow inspired by aged pigments and traditional painted furniture. It brings a lovely earthy quality to the palette and pairs particularly well with Aubusson Blue, Burgundy and the greens. Use it to add warmth to your decorations or as a background for folk-art designs.
Amsterdam Green and Capability Green
For our accent colours, we’ve chosen two greens that bring the woodland to life. Amsterdam Green is a deep, rich green, while Capability Green offers a softer, more muted shade. Together, they evoke evergreen foliage and the beauty of the forest, making them perfect for painted leaves, garlands and little botanical details.

And Gold Leaf with Gold Size added an opulent touch. To seal all our projects, we used Clear Chalk Paint Wax.
