Nina Sainato from @hauntemyhome transformed this unloved piece of furniture with a mix of Chalk Paint in Athenian Black, and Chalk Paint in Burgundy with a touch of Warm Gold Gilding Wax.

After mending the mouldings and a quick clean Nina painted the whole chest in two coats of Chalk Paint in Athenian Black.

She then sealed it with a coat of Black Chalk Paint Wax.

She used Chalk Paint in Burgundy as an accent over the carvings and sealed them with a coat of Clear Chalk Paint Wax.

Another coat of Chalk Paint Black Wax over the whole piece was then followed by Warm Gold Gilding Wax to pick out the mouldings.

Voila! The piece was transformed and an enchanting chest Nina called Lenore was born!
