This mid-century chair was recovered in Annie Sloan’s fabric Piano in Old Violet. A perfect match for the walls painted in Emperor’s Silk.

This mid-century chair was recovered in Annie Sloan’s fabric ‘Piano in Old Violet’. Annie’s fabric is printed in colours to match her paint palette, and here the red dots and lines in the fabric echo the colour of the walls painted in Emperor’s Silk. Annie’s fabric design, which was painted freehand, also features Old Violet and Coco.

The frame of the chair has been painted with Chalk Paint® in Coco and finished with Clear Wax. The floor is painted with Paris Grey and lacquered with Chalk Paint® Lacquer for a hard-wearing finish. The curtain is made from Tacit in French Linen, a fabric printed with hieroglyphs, letters, numbers and shapes for a modern take on classical inspiration.
