Painted Mantelpiece
by Felix Sloan
Annie’s son, Felix Sloan, painted his living room in a graphic and contemporary design, showcasing a love for colour and pattern.

Felix Sloan painted his living room in Aubusson Blue, and a beige made from Country Grey mixed with Old White. He then made a triangle stencil out of card to paint a row of small equilateral triangles across the front of the mantelpiece. He did this in Aubusson Blue to echo the colour on the walls.
He also hand-painted the square ceramic tiles in front of his fireplace in a bold and playful pattern of triangles. He used several Chalk Paint® in Emperor’s Silk, Scandinavian Pink, English Yellow, Duck Egg Blue, Aubusson Blue and Graphite. Once dry, he sealed this with Chalk Paint® Lacquer.
