Painted Wall Planner
by Hester van Overbeek
In a bid to stay organised, Painter in Residence Hester van Overbeek created this stylish take on a notice board using Wall Paint by Annie Sloan.
Hester made a template out of cardboard of her hexagon shape – making sure each side measured 20cm long in order to match up neatly. Using her template she traced her hexagons on to the wall to create a pattern of four. To keep her edges neat, Hester masked one shape off, painted it in, and then once dry moved on to taping and painting the next hexagon. She painted each hexagon in its own colour, using Wall Paint in Antoinette, Aubusson Blue, Original and Graphite.
The fun hexagon shelf had been built by Hester for a previous project, to see instructions of how to make this yourself, head to Hester’s website.
