The complementary colours used on this chest of drawers were inspired by the work of artist Paul Klee.

Annie was inspired in this project by the artist Paul Klee whose work explored how complementary work together. She took two of her Chalk Paint® colours – Barcelona Orange and Greek Blue – which are complementaries. She painted the top drawer in Barcelona Orange and then gradually mixed in more and more Greek Blue, until she reached a pure blue on the bottom drawer. The result is this beautiful gradated ombre colour effect.

The frame of the drawers is painted with Graphite and the piece is finished with Clear Chalk Paint® Wax.
