Koi Fish Headdress
by Hanayuishi Takaya
To create this incredible headress, artist Hanayuishi Takaya scultped a koi fish out of papier maché and then painted its distinctive pattern using Chalk Paint® in Original, Emperor’s Silk and Graphite. He then used Annie Sloan Craqueleur and dark Chalk Paint® Wax to evoke the scales of the fish.
Hanayuishi Takaya is Annie Sloan's first Painter in Residence from Japan.
