Painter in Residence Karen Donnelly upcycled this small chest of drawers by painting a beautiful countryside landscape contrasting with Chalk Paint® in Burgundy.

Karen first painted this cabinet with Chalk Paint® in Burgundy. As an artist who normally works in oils and watercolours, Karen took to Chalk Paint® to create this scenic landscape on these drawer fronts. She used a simple palette of Burgundy, English Yellow, Antibes Green, Arles, Graphite and Pure, and mixes thereof.

To reflect the curves of this ornate piece, Karen cleverly mirrored the shapes by creating arcs on the corners of her landscape canvas.

The piece is finished with Clear Chalk Paint® Wax to protect.
