Inspirated by the bold colour combinations used by one of my favourite artists, Henri Matisse, I’ve chosen a bright palette of colours for a Matisse-mass themed celebration.

Christmas is joyful and bright this year

This year’s Christmas palette uses five key Chalk Paint colours:

• Tyrian Plum – a wonderful earthy dark reddish-purple colour
• Florence – a sophisticated contemporary teal green
• Capri Pink – a true hot pink with depth and energy
• Original – a warm, slightly creamy, traditional white
• Frida Blue – a bright, energising colour full of joy

We also mixed Capri Pink and Original 50:50 to create a softer pink for contrast.

A touch of extra life was provided by two accent colours:

• Arles – an earthy natural yellow ochre
• Antibes Green – a bright emerald green

And Metallic Paint in Traditional Gold added an opulent touch. To seal all our projects, we used Clear Chalk Paint Wax.
