WOW Sideboard

Painter in Residence Tim Gould spelled the word ‘WOW’ in Chalk Paint® across this geometric mid-century sideboard.

For this mid-century sideboard, Tim started by painting the side table in Pure – a cool clean white from the Chalk Paint® palette – that creates a crisp contrast with bright colours. As the paint dried, he created his own triangle stencil on Adobe Illustrator

Once dry Tim started at the right end of the sideboard, using the Henrietta and Florence mixing a little Pure to each colour as he worked to create a gradient – going from dark to light, right to left.

Look closely and you can see how this spells out the word “WOW”.

Tim sealed his masterpiece with Clear Chalk Paint® Wax, and then lightly sanded the painted triangles back to reveal a little of the Pure below. A final coat of wax seals everything in.
