This bright and bohemian desk was inspired by our Painter in Residence, Ildiko Horvath’s garden. Open the front and you’ll be delighted by the beautiful fossilised leaf print she painted inside!

Ildiko created this bohemian bureau inspired by her garden in Ontario, Canada. She built up layers of colour over the body of the piece using an equal mix of Florence and Pure, as well as touches of Arles, Amsterdam Green, Pure and Graphite to add dimension. The surface was then speckled with Olive using a small detail brush.

Pop open the front and a fossilised leaf print is revealed. Ildiko did this by dabbing the back of hydrangea leaves with Olive, Antibes Green, Amsterdam Green and Arles, which she then pressed down over a Graphite base. A coat of Clear Chalk Paint® Wax completes the look and protects her paintwork.
