Typographical chest of drawers
by Annie Sloan
Annie painted this typographical chest of drawers using two Chalk Paint® colours, which she finished with a coat of Clear Chalk Paint® Wax. The words come from the James Joyce’s ‘Ulysses’.
Annie was inspired by the warehouse look when she painted this chest of drawers. First, she painted the whole piece in Chalk Paint® in Old White and then cut out letters in sticky plastic, which she positioned on the drawer fronts. She then painted over the letters in French Linen, before peeling back the sticky plastic to reveal the words in Old White underneath. A coat of Clear Chalk Paint® Wax seals everything in.
