Rustic Dining Table

For a rustic looking dining table, paint the top and legs in different colours and finish with lashings of Dark or Black Chalk Paint® Wax.

This rustic dining table was given a classic French look with Antibes Green painted on the legs and Old White on the top. The green on the table legs was knocked back with lashings of Black Chalk Paint® Wax, bringing out the texture of the rustic table and brush marks of Chalk Paint®.

For the table top, the Old White was diluted with water to create a wash. This was then sealed with Clear Chalk Paint® Wax. You can learn more about this technique in our tutorial for bringing out the grain in wood.
