This chest of drawers was painted first with a coat of Primer Red and then in Lem Lem, a soft warm green inspired by the colour of allium fields in Ethiopia.

Annie Sloan painted this chest of drawers in Lem Lem, showcasing the soft warm green in a rustic setting. Lem Lem is a colour inspired by Annie’s trip to Ethiopia with Oxfam in Spring 2017.

The chest of drawers was painted with a thick coat of Primer Red first, and then Lem Lem. Annie then applied Clear Chalk Paint® Wax and sanded back heavily to reveal some of the red underneath. Dark Chalk Paint® Wax gives an antique look and a final coat of Clear Wax seals everything in.
