Retreats

Join us at one of the many furniture painting retreats Annie hosts and attends throughout the year!

What is a Furniture Painting Retreat?

Hosted in stunning locations across the UK and beyond, retreats are the ultimate immersive experience for furniture painting beginners and experts alike. Staying overnight in beautiful accommodation, they’re a chance to receive intimate 1-1 training and advice from Annie Sloan herself and some of the most skilled furniture painters in the Chalk Paint™ business.

They’re also an opportunity to enjoy delicious food and drink prepared by local chefs, and take part in additional activities, such as yoga and flower arranging, designed to enhance the sense of restful escapism. You’ll also meet supportive, like-minded individuals over the course of up to six days.

Court House Farm Retreats

Annie Sloan and Doghead Designs host their hugely successful retreats at Court House Farm in Portishead, Bristol. Guests attend a series of Techniques Workshops (covering basic and advanced paint principles ranging from texture to ombré) and demonstrations taught by Annie herself and Brand Ambassador (and furniture painting extraordinaire!), Tristan Merriam of Doghead Designs.

Staying six days and five nights at the gorgeous English manor (an artistic inspiration in itself), attendees also receive 1-1 tuition from Annie and Tristan on an upcycling project of their choice. Plus Q&A opportunities, photography, staging, and social media guidance. They also got treated to flower picking and arranging, day trips, art and history talks, and plenty of downtime to socialise and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!
