Originally referring to fabrics from a town called Jouy in France, this now means any printed fabrics with several pastoral scenes.

A classic 19th century toile depicting children in sailor suits playing by the sea shore, boats and beach tents. The toile is three colourways - sky blue on a creamy white or grey on a pale grey in 100% heavy weight cotton or in sepia on ecru 100% linen.
